God of War Ragnarök

This project was a dream come true! I was late to the God of War party, only entering the universe when I picked up God of War 2018, but I was hooked right from the opening game play. It’s a fantastic game and when I was asked if I wanted to be part of the audio team at Sweet Justice to work on the sequel, it was an emphatic and immediate yes!

I worked closely with the wonderful Jeremy Rogers and Beau Jimenez and I had the pleasure of designing sounds for some of the most pivotal moments of the game, including Kratos fighting with Thor, Kratos fighting Atreus in bear form, Kratos and Freya’s encounter with the Nidhogg and Kratos and Atreus’s battle with the giant wolf, Garm. I also designed sounds for the blades of chaos and the draupnir spear grunt finishers, and audio for several elite level enemies. A highlight was designing combat sounds for the magic sword, Ingrid. in early 2023, I had the pleasure of attending the BAFTA games awards, where God of War Ragnarok won the Audio Achievement award. I also got to meet American colleagues and members of the God of War cast.
